Odilon Redon

Odilon Redon

Odilon Redon (1840-1916) was a French symbolist painter, printmaker, draughtsman, and pastellist. He is known for his dreamlike and often macabre imagery, influenced by literature, music, and his own internal world. His early work primarily consisted of charcoal drawings and lithographs, referred to as "noirs," but he later embraced vibrant colors in his paintings and pastels.
